UKYP has been successful with a major bid to youth volunteering charity v. The funding will enable UKYP to develop a new series of youth events based around the successful Circles ofInfluence format.

The events will open UKYP’s networks beyond MYPs, encourage more young people to learn about democracy and campaigning, and support
those attending to continue making a difference after the event.

Members of Youth Parliament will play a leading role in organising each event, deciding which issues to discuss, which guest to invite (and what sandwiches to have for lunch!).

UKYP will also be recruiting two full-time volunteers for nine months to ensure a strong youth-led approach. One will focus on event management, the other on press and publicity.

More information about this exciting new area of work will be published on the UKYP website soon.
